RankMapp is a local-SEO dashboard. When a business owner runs an on-site scan of their own website, or checks that a citation they submitted to a directory is live, our server fetches the pages involved once and reads them. There is no scheduled crawling, no link following, and no indexing — every request traces back to a person clicking a button about a site they manage or a listing they created.
A handful of requests per scan, rate-limited per account. If you are seeing sustained traffic from this user agent, something is wrong — please block it and we would like to know.
RankMappBot identifies itself honestly, so a user-agent rule in robots.txt works:
